Track and manage quotes from draft to finalized subscription

Learn how to monitor a quote's status through its event history, edit or duplicate an existing quote, turn a quote into a plan, delete a quote, change its owner, and finalize a signed quote into a subscription.

View quote event history

You can monitor real-time progress of your quote by clicking on Event History in the top right corner of an individual quote page. Here are the key events that are tracked:

  • Draft: Quote has not been sent to the customer and can be edited.

  • Sent: Quote has been sent to the customer and is no longer in draft.

  • Accepted: Customer has approved the quote by either:

    • Clicking "Accept" or "Pay" for Checkout Page delivery (Note: This event status does not confirm if a payment was successful; check invoices to confirm payment success).

    • Providing their signature for E-signature delivery.

  • Expired: The quote has not been finalized, and the offer valid thru date is in the past.

Edit a quote

Only quotes in draft status can be edited. Open a draft quote to begin editing, or head to Quotes > All quotes and click the three-dot menu and then Edit.

Retract and edit a sent quote

If you need to make a change to a sent quote, you must first retract the quote. Once a quote has been accepted, it cannot be retracted or edited. To retract a quote:

  1. Open the quote and click the three-dot menu.

  2. Select Retract quote.

Retracting a quote will temporarily prevent any signing actions from taking place. Once changes are complete, you can reshare the quote with your customer. The link to the quote will not change, so the customer can still sign from the existing quote link.

Duplicate a quote

To duplicate a quote:

  1. Head to Quotes > All quotes.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the quote you want to duplicate.

  3. Select Duplicate.

Create a plan from a quote

To turn a quote into a reusable plan:

  1. Head to Quotes > All quotes.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Create plan.

Delete a quote

Only quotes in draft status can be deleted. To delete a quote:

  1. Open the quote or head to Quotes > All quotes.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Confirm delete.

Finalize quote as a subscription

Only draft quotes can be manually converted to a finalized subscription. To turn a draft quote into a subscription and bypass delivering the quote to a customer for approval:

  1. Open the quote or head to Quotes > All quotes.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Finalize as subscription.

  4. Confirm.

Change a quote owner

The owner of a quote is the person who created the quote. If you need to change the owner of a quote to another user in your Turnstile account:

  1. Head to Quotes > All quotes.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Change owner.

  4. Select a new owner.

  5. Click Change owner.
