How to terminate a subscription in Turnstile

Overview

In this article, we will discuss how to terminate an active subscription in Turnstile.

On the Customer page in the subscriptions section, select your subscription by choosing the appropriate tile, then click the Manage dropdown and select Terminate.

1. Select termination effective date

After clicking Terminate, you will need to select the Termination effective date from the dropdown in the pop-up window. This will be the date when your subscription will be terminated.

Note: A subscription cannot be terminated before the end of the last paid or issued service period.


2. Review invoice

Once you have selected your termination effective date, The Invoice schedule below will update to display:

  • A divider to mark the current date and your chosen Termination date

  • The remaining invoices to be paid before the termination date will have a Draft status

    • Depending where in the service period the final invoice is dated, it may have a prorated amount

  • Invoices set to be issued after the termination effective date will be updated to have a Cancelled status

Terminating a subscription will not automatically void or refund invoices marked as Issued or Paid, we recommend voiding or cancelling as desired for these invoices.

3. Terminate Subscription

Once you have chosen your Termination effective date and reviewed your updated Invoice schedule, click Terminate subscription in the bottom right corner to update the subscription. After confirming, you will be brought back to the update subscription on the customer page.

The customer page will display your terminated subscription with the new end date. You will see the product(s) split into phases to represent the when the subscription change occurred.
