Quote Templates

Quote templates provide a customizable interface for creating reusable layouts and structures for your quotes.

Quote Templates allow you to create the preferred layout and structure for your quotes and plans. Your quote templates appear in two places:

  1. When you create a new quote using the Custom quote option in the plan dropdown, it will apply your chosen default quote template

  2. When you create a Plan, you must select a quote template it will be displayed within

Creating your quote template

Within the Catalog page, go to the Quote templates tab:

  • Click Add quote template to start from a blank state or click an existing one to edit it.

  • In the Editor:

    • Hover over any space in the quote template editor and a green "+ Add block" section will appear. Add free-form rich text, images, tables, or insert terms from the catalog (e.g., logo rights).

    • Click and drag to arrange content blocks (e.g., header block, terms, product catalog).

  • Attach a PDF by clicking the paperclip icon in the top right of the quote template editor

    • Prepend attachment- place before quote

    • Append attachment- place after quote

  • Switch to the Preview in the top left to see how the template will appear in Quoter.

  • Click Publish in the top right to make the template available for use in in plans and new quotes

Setting your default template

Within the Catalog page, go to the Quote templates tab:

  • Locate your desired quote template in the template list view

  • Click the 3 dot (...) menu on the right of the template

  • Select "Set as default" from the dropdown menu

Note: Whichever template is set to "default" will be the default template for all new quotes unless a plan is selected in the dropdown.

Removing quote templates

Within the Catalog page, go to the Quote templates tab:

  • Locate the quote template in the template list view

  • Click the 3 dot (...) menu on the right of the template

  • Select "Archive" from the dropdown menu

Note: Quotes drafted or sent with an archived template will remain active.
