Salesforce integration

Connect Salesforce to Turnstile to sync accounts, opportunities, and contacts across your quote-to-cash workflow

Connecting Salesforce to Turnstile brings your CRM data directly into the quoting workflow. You can pull Salesforce accounts, opportunities, and contacts into quotes without switching between tools, automatically create an opportunity when one doesn't exist, and keep your CRM up to date automatically when quotes are finalized.

Enable the Salesforce integration

  1. In Turnstile, go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Select Configure next to Salesforce.

  3. Connect to your Salesforce account.

  4. Toggle on the data you want to sync between Salesforce and Turnstile.

Salesforce Accounts

Salesforce Accounts are used to find Opportunities and Contacts to associate with a Turnstile quote.

During quoting, the following fields are sourced from Salesforce to generate the quote PDF:

  • Name

  • BillingStreet

  • BillingCity

  • BillingState

  • BillingPostalCode

  • BillingCountry

You can also directly create an Account within Salesforce from Turnstile. In the Account creation dialog, you'll be prompted to enter a domain, which will be used to auto-populate various account metadata within Salesforce.

Data that syncs between Salesforce and Turnstile

Account records

Salesforce Account records are used to populate the customer's details on Turnstile's Customers view. When you use Salesforce with Turnstile, each Turnstile customer contains a link to a unique Salesforce Account ID.

Opportunities

Salesforce Opportunities are sourced from Salesforce based on the Account selected. You can create an Opportunity from Turnstile if one doesn't exist.

Opportunity writeback

When a Turnstile quote is accepted and becomes a subscription, details about that quote are written back to the associated Salesforce Opportunity. These details include:

  • Opportunity status as "Closed Won"

  • Opportunity total contract value ("TCV")

  • Opportunity won date

Contacts

  • Salesforce Contacts are used in Turnstile's Quoter for signer + optional contact information. In the case of an e-signature order flow, the signer Contact's email address will receive the e-signature request from the e-sign provider.

  • Contacts are sourced from the Account attached to the quote.

  • Similar to Accounts and Opportunities, you can create Contacts directly from Turnstile, and they will be automatically associated with the selected Account and Opportunity.
